The term Wunderwald in German means "wonderful forest": from this word begins the journey into a self-produced Christmas fairy tale, in collaboration with Lorenzo Zanghielli, who took care of the narrative part and Nicolò Veronesi who took care of the animated part. The story wants to highlight the sense of "community" that we often refer to during the Christmas holidays: the narrative is aimed at an audience of children, hence the search for a simple and evocative language that integrates with the classic Christmas atmospheres. The story tells of a little girl who, during the Christmas holidays, thinking of that single imposing fir tree in the center of the town decorated with lights and bowls, reflects on the loneliness of that poor tree, selected among many because it is the most beautiful, and on all its “companions” left in the forest, discarded because they were crooked, short and mangy; so she decides to go into the woods together with her trusty dog and decorate the whole forest with Christmas lights, so as to make everyone, without exception, feel part of those beautiful holidays. The cover illustration describes the final moment of the story, in which the little girl smugly admires the work done.
